Hey Naomi.....Hope You had a nice Crhistmas...I see you've been crankin' quite a bit. Getting better and better there every day. I like how you are using the big black shapes to black in the areas...such nice contrast to teh drawings...and sucha nice design element too.The seond drawing where you started the woman's face like three times and then got the third one finally rendered is my favorite..I dunno...kinda feels like she's actually talking or something. I don't want to critique this too much, because you are on the right track. This is what you need to keep doing every day..and you'll find your own voice. The best way to treat your sketchbook is as your own personal work of art.....try and treat each page as a new beginning and make it a well rounded piece...maybe if you want to take it a tad bit further..try doing some washes with the FW Acrylic ink that they have at plaza.....get some earthtone maybe and it'll be a nice way to practice colors in your sketchbook....when are you going to be back in town?...I was curious about how we are going to meet up for the trip and stuff.....keep crankin' :-)
