I had a rough week :( But this is what I came up with in downtime at work... it was hard to concentrate! So the next one will be better.
A salty guy came at me trying to say I had no real skills. I got one thing to say to this guy: "You better check yourself, before you wreck yourself!!" :P hehehe I'm guessing it was fear talking, poor dude. Either way, keep it movin', fortunately the hate has never done anything for motivated people but make them better >_>;;
I went to Drink and Draw in LA with a friend and I had a blast... I'm excited to go next week!!! Mooorrreee drawing!

Seriously? People suck. If everybody passing your sketchbook around like a crack pipe last night wasn't a good ego boost I don't know what is. You're amazing. Don't forget that. ;)

I wonder how Mr. Salty defines real skills..? As artists and illustrators, we all have a foundation we should build upon, but it doesn't end there. You do what you do incredibly well, and he is wrong to say that you are lacking.
Perhaps he cannot deal with the fact that your style is absolutely sick, and very much your own. Next time, dryly apologize for not being a Frank Frazetta clone, James Jean imitator or Ryan Church wannabee. :D
